Monday Funday...

Dylan was out of school last Friday through Tuesday for spring break. I took off work on Friday & Monday since Ryan was in Texas hunting, & he stayed home with her on Tuesday. I really enjoyed my time with her & being off work, but man were we busy....Fayetteville, Tulsa, 2 baby showers, grammy's birthday... EXHAUSTING! So needless to say, we were both so happy to stay in "play clothes" with bed head most of the day on Monday! The weather was SO beautiful. We stayed outside ALL DAY LONG! Everything she wanted to do, she wanted to do it outside...so that's what we did. It was a perfect day!! Let me just tell you all that we did...where do I start??

Dylan cooked "Macaroni & Cheese" for her & Meatball. Her secret recipe consisted of Fruity Pebbles, Dora fruit snacks, stale Reese's 100 calorie snacks, & just a little bit of SAND.

Unfortunately, Bubba wasn't interested...& he's not EXACTLY picky!!

In mommy's eyes, outside time is the best PLAY-DOH time!! :)

Dylan made me a ZOO full of animals & several birthday cakes, therefore we had SEVERAL birthday parties...I'm telling you, the child is obsessed with birthdays!

And then there was the "camp out"...

a little sand & scooter time...

great conversation with a good friend...

TIARA TIME!!
Casting spells on her Bubba, Bubba, Boo!

& MOST IMPORTANTLY....practicing her red carpet pose...who doesn't have one of those?!? :)

Are you exhausted? I was!! It was a lot of fun though. I love to see her so relaxed & having fun. OHHH, how nice it must be to be footloose & fancy free!!
We also had a picnic lunch, but I somehow missed the photo-op there...OOPS! After hours of outdoor fun, I finally coerced her inside so I could clean the house & clean us up before Ryan came home.
All clean & watching Noggin...her "favorite channel"!! Isn't she just precious?
(im)Patiently waiting on daddy to come home...
After her bath, she asked me to braid her hair because her daddy loves her braids. So cute!!

~Family Portrait~ by Dylan Elizabeth

When I was flipping through Dylan's school artwork for the week, I was SO EXCITED to see what resembled faces. When I asked her what her picture was of, she sweetly said, "it's of you, me & my daddy." It was our first legible family portrait! How sweet is that?!? The next day, she told me it was of her "mommy & daddy monster", but I choose to believe she meant that in the most endearing way... DYLAN LOVES TO DRAW A MONSTER, SO THAT'S A COMPLIMENT, RIGHT?? :)
*Ms. Chris--if this picture isn't really of us, will you please not tell me?*
I've already logged in the Book-O-Memories! lol

Dang near dead!

So, early Tuesday morning (1 a.m.) to be exact, I woke up with the worst pain EVER in my stomach. I thought I was going to DIE (not really die, just wanted to help get the point across)! The only thing I can compare it to is a contraction & not just any contraction....a 1 minute apart Pitocin contraction to the highest power. BRUTAL!! Anyway, the pains lasted about a minute & then they would go away, but they always came back. I thought about calling in sick, but the suspense was killing me (we medical folks always have to diagnose ourselves). If I didn't go to work I wouldn't be able to ultrasound myself & find what I was sure would be a gallstone (the size of Texas). To my surprise, no gallstone...or kidney stone, or liver masses. What could it be?? The pain was up too high for my appendix & more midline than right? HMMM.... After hours of suffering & literally almost falling to my knees every time a pain would come, I went to one of our friendly & fabulous ER doctors to help me out. He examined me & was very baffled. He wanted me to have a CT scan, but since I've worked in radiation for what....13+ years now, I really didn't want to have a CT. He reluctantly said ok, but said "if you get a fever, you're getting one." He wrote me a prescription & off I went. Luckily Ryan was home with Dylan so they came & picked it up for me so it would be waiting on me when I got off work. The pain had gotten so much worse, but luckily the medicine helped a little (& by helping I mean it made me sleep). I slept from the time I got home until 8:00... when I woke up with chills & a 101 temp. Yep, you guessed it...CT TIME! I didn't want to go but Ryan would NOT shut up about it & then he involved my friend, Kristi, who was at the hospital. Needless to say, I finally went up there. Dylan loves to go to the hospital & Kristi let her assist in pushing the buttons, so she had a great time...at least somebody did! The CT didn't show anything...Thank you God! I had gotten a little nervous that it might possibly be my appendix, but I was beyond thrilled to see that it wasn't!! I am always a brave patient, but all of the sudden on the way to the hospital, I started thinking about getting put to sleep & cut on & I was not too excited...at all! After all that mess, I came home, re-medicated & slept ALL NIGHT & woke up feverless & almost pain-free. I'm not feeling 100% normal, but I'm getting there. Compared to yesterday, I feel FABULOUS!!! I have no idea what was wrong with me, but whatever it was, I hope I never, ever experience it again!

IT'S TIMES LIKE THIS WHEN I'M SO VERY THANKFUL I WORK AT A GREAT PLACE, WITH GREAT PEOPLE.....WHO TAKE GREAT CARE OF ME!

On the road again...

Saturday was a fun day!! Dylan & I got up & headed to Tulsa for 2 special occasions--Grammy's birthday (my mom) & my friend, Shonda's baby shower. It was great to see my family & friends. Dylan always has such a great time at Grammy & "G-daddy's" house. They always make it ALL about the grandkids, letting them play & do whatever they want (within reason). It's so much fun watching them all have such a great time...& it's so relaxing & refreshing for the parents. Thanks Mom & Jay!! We love coming to your house...so much fun & RELAXING!
We drove back home late last night. Yes, that makes for a long day, but since Ryan is gone, I wanted to be home for our son, Meatball. He has a doggy door & pretty much takes care of himself, but since he is an Epileptic, I'm always afraid he will get stressed & have a seizure. I know he probably has them a lot when we aren't home, but I don't want to do anything to induce the little Buggaboo's seizures....POOR PITIFUL MEATBALL! We love him--although he is on my last nerve right now, pulling my arm off the keyboard. He is wanting my undivided attention!! ROTTEN, SPOILED ROTTEN!
Posing with Bubba & showing off her new Matilda Jane outfit...PRECIOUS!!

Dylan, Hailey & Bennett with their great-grandma, Nana.
(Nice centering, Ang)

Posing with Grammy, the birthday girl :)

Dylan loving up on Grammy

FUN, FUN, FUN!!
Wrestling Cousins

Wrestling with G-daddy....they love doing this!
(I think G-daddy loves it too)

Me, Shonda, & Jack--I heart them!!

Fishing with daddy...

Last Wednesday, Ryan decided to take Dylan fishing after school. This is something they love to do together & since he was leaving the next day for his Texas hunting trip, he wanted to spend some Q.T. with Dylan. He said they had a good time, although they didn't catch a single fish!! Dylan lost interest real fast when a little weenie dog decided to join them at the pond. For those of you that don't know, Dylan LOVES a dog! Once he joined them, her fishing was over, but I think she still had a ball!!

Alexander Graham Streett III

Wow....What a day!!! After hours & hours of waiting, Baby Alex finally arrived on Friday the 13th at 6:04 p.m. & what a cutie he is! He is SOOOO PRECIOUS & SOOOO PERFECT!! He weighed 7 lbs & 13 oz (the same as Dylan) & he's 20 inches long. When he finally got to Rachel's room (2 hours later--poor Rach), he was so alert. He had his eyes open wide, checking everything out! He is A-dorable! Rachel's C-Section went smoothly & mom & baby are healthy & doing great! And Graham....he is ecstatic---gleaming from ear to ear. Dylan was pretty impressed with her new cousin, too. She was the 2nd person to get to hold him (she was very demanding!) & she was the first person to sing to baby Alex. Yes, she sang Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to him TWICE!! It was so sweet!! And as soon as we got home tonight, she immediately told "Bubba" aka Meatball, all about HIS new cousin, baby Alex. How cute is that??

CONGRATULATIONS RACHEL & GRAHAM!

WE LOVE YOU & SWEET BABY ALEX!!!

The Waiting Game....

The hours waiting on baby Alex....
